The Filipino American Library shall hold a very important lecture for the community.Ê The lecture focuses on Bioterrorism and shall be held on

November 28, 2001 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

at 3200 W. Temple Street, Los Angeles, CA 90026 (corner Dillon Street).

The lecture shall focus on:

1.) the history of bioterrorism

2.) biological agents used for bioterrorism and criteria used for choosing biological weapons

3.) how to protect yourself from exposure, what symptoms to watch for and what to do if you think you are exposed.

Handouts containing information from the Centers for Disease Control shall be provided. Lecturers include Prosy de la Cruz, J.D., Regional Administrator for the State of California Department of Health Services, Food and Drug Branch and Susan Araneta, M.P.H., Assistant Director of the LA County Tobacco Control Program.
