This bio will cover my working years at Hughes Aircraft Company and what I have done since I retired December of 1989. My entire career at Hughes, which spans 23 years was in the accounting department. I progressed during that time to become the Manager of Group Cost Accounting. There were over 100 people in my department. The department included: cost accumulation (labor and material costs), accounts payable, timekeeping/payroll and labor and material audit. I have also maintained my own income tax and accounting/ bookkeeping service since 1965. I have been involved with the Los Angeles Chapter of the Filipino American National Historical Society (FANHS-LA) since the first organizational meeting at the Filipino Christian Church. I am a Charter Member of FANHS-LA and was the first Treasurer of the Chapter (one 2 year term) and its second president, which I held for two terms (4 years). During my time in office, the Chapter has been very active. I have been very involved with most all of our fund raising activities. I am also a Board Member of the Filipino American Heritage Institute and was the former the Vice-President. I volunteer my time every Monday to help keep the library open to the general public. I co-chaired with Lee Colomby to put on the LibraryÕs most successful fundraiser. I was born in Stockton, California and was raised in the Fresno are of California. I moved to Los Angeles in 1961. I have four girls who have provided our planet with my three grandsons, two granddaughtersÉ..and two great granddaughtersÉI started young.
