Sam Balucas
My entire career at Hughes, which spans 23 years was in the accounting department. I progressed during that time to become the Manager of Group Cost Accounting. I have been involved with the Los Angeles Chapter of the Filipino American National Historical Society since the first organizational meeting at the Filipino Christian Church. I am a Charter Member of FANHS-LA and was the first Treasurer of the Chapter and its second president, which I held for two terms. I was the former Vice-Presidentof the Filipino American Heritage Institute. I was born in Stockton, California, raised in the Fresno area, moved to Los Angeles in 1961. I have four girls who have provided our planet with my three grandsons, two grand-daughters, and two great granddaughters. I started young.
