The Filipino American Library will hold an Author Event and Book Signing for Dr. Juanita Santos Nacu, Ed.D. and her book: Story Telling in Project Heart to Heart: a means to bridge generational gap in the post-1965 Filipino immigrant families.This book represents five years of highly interactive, personal and heartwarming gatherings with hundreds of people from different generations who seek harmony with their loved ones. ".this book is truly a peoples' book and should be one of the recommended resources for any group or therapist interested in intergenerational issues.this work drew upon Dr. Santos's Filipino background,.reflective of every immigrant's struggle both parent and child." - Dr.Mosain Essa As a believer in communication based on commonalities, Dr. Juanita Santos Nacu travels nationally and internationally as motivational and leadership speaker and a progressive educator. She has her own Consulting Group Leadership Mentors on leadership training for all ages, organizations, non-profit groups, and the workplace. She is an advocate for preservation of our Filipino Culture through education, use of Filipino language and Bridging the Gap between different generations of Filipino Americans. An invisible presence but powerful voice for the Filipino American youths, young adults and families in establishing pride in our identity as Filipino American, she is responsible in establishing Filipino as a Foreign Language Program at San Diego Palomar College and Poway Unified School District and expansion of the program at San Diego Mesa College.
